Bathroom fans in Campbell homes

Campbell's ranch tracts have a fan in the hall bath and sometimes the master, venting through the attic to a roof jack that has not been opened since the house was built. The downtown bungalows have retrofit fans with short runs to a wall hood or, sometimes, nowhere. The condos have inline fans on long flexible runs to the roof, and those runs are the blockage.

Dust and lint build a felt on the blower wheel, the motor slows, the duct to the roof narrows, and the mirror stays fogged after every shower. We take the grille down, clean the wheel and housing by hand and with the vacuum, clear the duct from the fan end and the cap end where we can reach them, and put it back together running.
