How much does commercial duct cleaning cost?

Commercial duct cleaning and kitchen exhaust cleaning are quoted after an in-person walkthrough, because duct length, the number of air handlers, ceiling access and grease load vary too much for a flat rate. The visit is free, the quote is written, and the price does not change unless the scope does.

Commercial systems are bigger versions of the same problem: supply and return trunks, branch runs to dozens of diffusers, and air handlers that have been moving the same dust for years. We connect a negative-air machine to the trunk, seal the diffusers, and work each run back to the vacuum. The photos on this page are from a Bay Area medical laboratory we cleaned this year.

Restaurant kitchen exhaust is a different job: hood, filters, plenum, the duct run to the roof, and the rooftop fan. We clean the accessible system and photograph before and after. Tell us your closing time and we schedule around it.

Dust on diffusers within days of janitorial

The supply side is shedding.

Kitchen hood past its last cleaning date

Your insurer and your fire inspector both want a date on the sticker.

New lease, unknown system history

Ask the landlord for the last duct cleaning record. If there is none, that is your answer.

FAQ

Commercial Air Care: questions people ask

How much does commercial duct cleaning cost?
Commercial duct cleaning is quoted after a free on-site walkthrough. The price depends on the number of air handlers, the count of diffusers and returns, duct length, ceiling access and whether there is a kitchen exhaust system. You get a written quote, usually the same day as the visit.
What kinds of buildings do you clean?
Offices, medical and dental suites, laboratories, restaurants, retail, small warehouses and multi-unit residential buildings. The photos on this page are from a medical laboratory in Santa Clara County.
Can you work after hours?
Yes. Nights, weekends and holiday shutdowns are all normal for us, and there is no surcharge. Most office and medical jobs happen after 6pm or on a Saturday.
Do you clean restaurant kitchen exhaust hoods?
Yes. Hood, filters, plenum, the accessible duct run and the rooftop exhaust fan, with before and after photos. We schedule after closing so the line is cold.
Do you provide documentation?
Yes. Every commercial job gets before and after photos and a written summary of what was cleaned and anything we found that needs a contractor.
